Deal With Our Imperfections First

Seveal quotes from Ron Paul's speech in Austin, Texas.

All empires end for economic reasons.

Deal with our imperfections first.

The most important element is to understand that all of our purpose and all of our actions should be for the protection of individual liberty.

The purpose of liberty is to allow creative energy to come about.

We are not going to listen to the Pablum of the other candidates who do not understand what real change means.

Americans in Canada For Ron Paul

I pledge allegiance to the flag ...

The Embargo Should End

The Embargo Should End With Castro’s Resignation

Free trade and the open exchange of information are the best tools America has to combat international tyranny. The U.S. should quickly end the Cuban trade embargo. Cuban markets would be a great place for our farmers and businesses to sell their products. And, the power of free markets would quickly push out the remaining totalitarian remnant, finally ending the Communism in the Western Hemisphere.

Revolutionary Ideas

Ron Paul: 'All empires end'
Lena Dirbashi

Texas congressman Ron Paul said in a speech Monday at NT that the next generation of voters is responsible for getting America on track again with "revolutionary ideas."

"We need to change our attitude about spending," Paul said. "How are we going to pay bills if we are trying to build an empire and do all the things we aren't supposed to do? All empires end and that is what we're witnessing today. We can't afford it."

The Ron Paul Economy

The Ron Paul Economy
by Nicholas von Hoffman

He is the only candidate who brings up what is happening to our money, which is another way of saying that he is worried about why the cost of buying groceries is going through the roof. While the other presidential contenders are silent on the topic, Paul reminds us that "government officials consistently claimed that inflation is in check at barely 2 percent, but middle-class Americans know that their purchasing power--especially when it comes to housing, energy, medical care, and school tuition--is shrinking much faster than 2 percent each year."

More Liberty, Less Government

Paul's message: more liberty, less government
Posted: Feb. 16, 2008

A strict constitutionalist, Paul abhors the Bush administration's use of the United Nations to circumvent the Constitution to go to war. Moreover, he echoes the sentiment of military commanders that our military is stretched too thin policing the globe.

Regarding health care, Paul, a physician himself, blames Congress for creating HMOs and government intrusion for escalating costs and the mounting number of uninsured.

Christian Business Daily Endorsement

Christian Business Daily Endorses Ron Paul for President
by David G. Johnson
February 4, 2008

Christian Business Daily has long stood for policy that is rooted in solid Biblical principles – sound stewardship of financial and other resources, rewards for fruitfulness and productivity, and environments that allow for enterprise to flourish without undue taxation or public theft masquerading as compassion. This is why our editorial team has chosen to support a presidential candidate in the Republican primaries, Ron Paul.

The reasons for our selection of Congressman Paul are numerous, but can be summarized by what we esteem in his personal character, ethics, integrity, consistent sound economic and monetary policy record, and his grasp of foundational concepts that promote the freedoms that were hard-won by the Founders and codified by the framers of the U.S. Constitution.

We recognize a number of disturbing trends within the ranks of so-called "conservatives" in recent history, including a near-Socialist commitment to furthering the creation of a paternal State promising its people health care and other entitlements traditionally supported by liberals. The field of Republican candidates in the current election cycle is dominated by supporters of unhealthy taxation and wealth redistribution schemes that fund unethical and immoral initiatives, promote dependence over personal responsibility, and contribute to the further degradation of liberty.

Awakened Understanding

Paul Campaign Awakening Understanding
Many have long viewed history as a boring subject or one they believe to understand yet Ron Paul's positions are causing many to study history deeper than ever before.
by Gary Wood

Liberty and freedom are attractive yet many initially find Dr. Paul's comments hard to digest or understand. Not because they are stupid, only because they realize they don't have enough information about the history surrounding his positions. I'm not trying to say if you study history you will automatically begin to believe everything Ron Paul says is good. However, an awakened understanding leads to a better decision on whom to support and people are realizing they must make a good decision this election year. Without his campaign and his popularity the level of awakening we are witnessing would not be realized in mass.

Too many of the front-runners and media darlings feed us sound bites. More voters are realizing the political sound bites are the same as they hear year after year while the country falters. As more awaken to an understanding of history the people move closer to regaining control of government. No matter what else happens as a result of Congressman Ron Paul running for President this will go down as the biggest victory of his campaign.

New Study: Only Candidate To Cut Spending

New Study: Ron Paul is the only candidate who would cut spending
By James W. Harris
January 31, 2008

Of all the Republican and Democratic candidates for president, only one is proposing to actually cut government spending.

That one is Ron Paul.

The rest – Republicans and Democrats alike – are proposing to *increase* government spending by anywhere from several billion to hundreds of billions of dollars.

That´s the startling conclusion of a comprehensive new study from the National Taxpayers Union Foundation (NTUF).

NTUF is the research arm of the 362,000-member National Taxpayers Union, a nonpartisan citizen group founded in 1969 that works for lower taxes and tax reform.

Their new study provides cost estimates -- based on hard data -- for more than 450 proposals by the presidential candidates. (A link to this study is at the end of this article.)

The study finds that Ron Paul stands entirely alone among the candidates in calling for spending cuts. In fact, Paul´s proposals would cut the bloated federal budget by a whopping $150 billion.

The rest of the candidates might as well adopt the old hit song "Big Spender" ("Hey, big spender!") as their campaign theme.

The other Republicans strut around the campaign circuit, describing themselves as "fiscal conservatives" and boasting about cutting back government.

But the NTUF exposes them for what they are: advocates of an even bigger, even more bloated, even more intrusive federal government than we have today.

John McCain´s proposals would result in a $6.9 billion spending hike.
Mitt Romney´s programs would result in a $19.5 billion spending hike.
Mike Huckabee´s proposals would result in a $54.2 billion spending hike.

American Conservative Endorses Ron Paul

Paul for President

The presidential fields of both parties have narrowed, and the arguments about how we should move forward are now familiar. TAC believes that only one candidate has put forth a diagnosis of America’s current ills and has a vision to turn the country off its misguided course. That is Congressman Ron Paul, whom we endorse for the Republican nomination.
