Meeting With Amish Farmers

Ron Paul's Meeting with Rogue Farmers
by Jake Morphonios

...

To my surprise, my long-bearded friend pulled out some photos that had been given to him earlier in the week. He and his family (which includes his wife and ten children), along with other concerned family farmers, had been to Washington DC and cooked lunch for Ron Paul with their "illegal" food products (a shining example of civil disobedience) and shared their concerns about the invasion of the federal government into their lives. The pictures were beautiful: Ron Paul standing with my friend and members of his family.

Seeing the extent to which the most honest, innocent and harmless members of our society were being driven to plead for government to leave them alone, I felt ashamed - ashamed of my government and ashamed of myself for not having done more to protect the erosion of American liberty.

Why Ron Paul Is Good For Black People

Why This Black Man is Supporting Ron Paul
A perspective on why Ron Paul is good for Black people and all people in America, and deserves your vote in 2008.
by Adeeb Shabazz

I get the question all the time: "are you supporting Hillary or Obama?" Of course this question comes from people that don't really know this Black Libertarian who has never voted Democratic in his life. When I answer "neither" they usually look puzzled and then ask in wonderment, "well who are you going to vote for then?" When "Ron Paul" is my response, I get varied responses, but the most common is a blank stare, a "Ron Who?" response, or the big question: "Why?".

The American people are VERY uninformed about Congressman Ron Paul, and Black people in America are then quadruply uninformed I am sad to say. We are trained to look to the government for all of our answers and assistance, particularly the Federal Government, not knowing nor realizing that it is not the Federal Government's job to provide such assistance and that attempts over the past few decades by the Federal Government to do so have done more harm than good.
The Federal Government, particularly the Office of the Presidency, has the job of protecting National Security and securing us against all enemies, foreign and domestic. It is not the President's job to create jobs or to start a new assistance program. For those of us who work for a living, which is most of us, what happens is that taxes are raised and taken out of our paychecks, taken from us at the supermarkets and retail stores, taken from us at the gas pump, taken from us in our phone and utility bills, and then taken from us again in the prices that had to be inflated so that all the above could afford to pay THEIR taxes. Well over half of your hard-earned money goes to taxes right now. That's right, I said HALF! If you and your spouse/significant other make only $40,000 a year combined, that's $20,000. What could you do with an extra $20,000. Do we want to pay more taxes, or do something about it?

Ron Paul Roars - 7500 attend Austin rally

Rep. Ron Paul Roars In Lone Star State
By Pat Shannan

...

These three traitors are chronicled, day in and day out, on the evening news and the morning newspapers. Yet, while any of them, prior to their recent elevation to “star status” by the media, would have been jubilant to draw 750 people at any speaking engagement, Ron Paul drew a crowd to the capitol steps in Austin, Texas last week estimated by police to be at 7,500. However, unless you were there, that fact would have been difficult to find out.

Certainly, no other newsman told you. So there’s one more reason why Ron Paul must stay in the race and as a Republican, at least until convention time right after Labor Day. He must stay not only to enlighten the American people about his sensible platform, but also so he may be able to continue to expose the fraudulent news media for what they really are: deceivers.

Without the deceptive news media—or with fair and honest reporting—Ron Paul would have already sent John McCain back to the Senate and would already be the all but elected new president. But the media have created the appearance that the American people don’t want Paul to be president, when it is the Republican planners who don’t want him. As the campaign trail lengthens and the revolution expands, it is becoming more and more obvious that Ron Paul is the people’s choice.

Paul Scored A Victory Tuesday

Texan's presidential campaign makes lasting impact on his foot soldiers

...

But Paul scored a victory Tuesday night, crushing challenger Chris Peden in the Republican primary in his Texas congressional district.

Paul’s victory in his heavily Republican district means the 33-year House veteran will be around for at least another two years to voice his dismay both at America’s overseas entanglements and at Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke’s policies.

What is America?

WHY RON PAUL WORKS
By M Brannon Parker
2-29-08
AMERICA. What is America? What is America beyond the media, beyond the hyperbole and the image?

...

We see Hillary Rodham Clinton: Champion of Fascism in the name of Socialism with enforced vaccinations, health care based on Government approved standards that do not recognize natural and alternative health care, mandatory health insurance similar to the auto insurance industry mandates. Dedicated to the so-called drug war against the people and continued subsidization of the prison industrial complex. At best she will give America another dose of Clintonian governance.

Barack Hussein Obama: An unknown whose rise to political power was built upon the scandals of his political rivals. Both his Democratic and GOP rivals for the US Senate were taken out by well timed exposes involving abuse and sex scandals. Mysteriously, legally sealed divorce records were opened against the wishes of the clients that were than used to torpedo Obama's rival. Obama will at best give us a Euro-America and most likely turn America into an EU surrogate. The very same media that gives us ceaseless drivel of irrelevancy and daily doses of trauma, murders, rapes and perversion has given us Obama. No surprise really once we learn that George Soros is a major player behind the Obama ascendancy. Despite his alleged liberality, in part based on his extreme and impassioned defense of partial birth abortion, Obama is dedicated to the so-called drug war against the people and continued subsidization of the prison industrial complex.

John Sydney McCain: A 5+yr Prisoner of War. Potential Manchurian Candidate, torture victim with his finger on the nuclear button. Scary thought. Ever ready to continue draining America's resources in foreign wars and misadventures lasting up to one hundred years if necessary. Like Hillary and Obama, McCain is dedicated to the so-called drug war against the people and continued subsidization of the prison industrial complex.

Michael Dale Huckabee: Christian idealist that is allegedly for freedom yet supports the continued drain on our resources for foreign wars and international entanglements. Dedicated to the so-called drug war against the people and continued subsidization of the prison industrial complex.

Alan L. Keyes: Articulate and intelligent but his disastrous Senate campaign against Obama says it all. Dedicated to the so-called drug war against the people and continued subsidization of the prison industrial complex.

Ralph Nader: A passionate consumer advocate. However he has no track record of governance and is more suitable in a role of an advocate. He could make an excellent congressional representative. Nader's presidential campaigns have no doubt raised many legitimate issues. Refreshingly Nader is dedicated to ending the drug war and freeing America from the corporate stranglehold. Admittedly positive goals yet Nader appears to represent special interests of another sort rather than the Nation as a whole. He would, of course, be a good addition to any administration.

All of these above candidates excluding Ralph Nader represent the status quo
which unfortunately means oppression, more wars against the American people and the people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo and beyond. These candidates guarantee many more prisoners for the prison industrial complex, continued waste of our precious resources on behalf of vested interest and corporations. Clinton, Obama, McCain all represent the final implementation of an entrenched parasitic entity that is in the guise of government equipped with a multifaceted security apparatus.

There is only one candidate that broadly reflects the values and ethos of the American people. That man is Ron Paul. Ron Paul's message is in reality the voice of America's subconscious. It is as if the average American's persona and modus operandi has been incarnated into the candidacy of Ron Paul. Ron Paul is the American Avatar. Ron Paul's common sense approach to matters global and local directly reflects the approach that we as Americans have in our every day lives. Ron Paul's live and let live policy is that very same live and let live policy practiced by millions of us every day. Ron Paul's trust and confidence in the integrity and dependability of the American people is the same that we have in each other. We know as a people that we can handle our concerns and issues equitably in a manner consistent with who we are as Americans. Ron Paul recognizes that as well. That is why Ron Paul works. That is why Ron Paul works for me. That is why Ron Paul works for America.
